Premier League Sack Race Odds: Who Will Be The Next Manager To Go?
Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is the odds-on favourite to be the next Premier League managerial casualty following his latest outburst in front of a mic.
Betting sites moved swiftly to install the Italian as the new favourite in the sack race odds after he labelled his players "selfish" and criticised the Tottenham hierarchy following Saturday's 3-3 draw with Southampton.
He's currently 2/7 to be the next Premier League manager to leave his post, which would be a record 11th managerial departure in a single season.
Last week, Crystal Palace sacked manager Patrick Vieira after he presided over an 11-game winless streak at the struggling club.
Vieira was the ninth Premier League manager to be dismissed this season, following in the footsteps of Scott Parker, Thomas Tuchel, Bruno Lage, Steven Gerrard, Ralph Hasenhüttl, Frank Lampard, Jesse Marsch and Nathan Jones.
Graham Potter left Brighton to replace Tuchel at Chelsea in September, so there have been 10 changes over the course of the campaign.
The current record for sackings in a Premier League season is 10, and there is still plenty of time for the 2022-23 campaign to break that.

Conte’s contract at Tottenham expires in the summer and he has resisted any overtures to extend his stay at the club.
Reports suggest that the hierarchy now have no plans to offer him a new deal anyway, so his days at the club look numbered.
Tottenham are still chasing a Premier League top four finish despite an indifferent season, so he could be given a stay of execution.
However, Daniel Levy has sacked Nuno Espírito Santo and Jose Mourinho mid-season in recent years, and he may follow suit with Conte if the situation remains toxic.
As such, Conte is now the 2/7 favourite to become the next manager to go according to a number of new betting sites – a market that covers sackings and managers leaving of their own accord.
David Moyes
The West Ham manager is now 8/1 to become the next Premier League boss to face the axe, according to several football betting sites.
The Hammers are languishing in 18th place in the table after losing 14 of their 26 league matches so far this season.
Moyes is skating on thin ice, despite thumping AEK Larnaca 4-0 to advance to the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League last Wednesday.
Their league position is perilous, as they are just one point above bottom club Southampton, and the spectre of relegation now looms large over the London Stadium.
That would be a disaster for the Hammers, who finished seventh last season and then spent more than £160m bolstering their squad in the summer transfer window.
Relegation would deal a major blow to the club’s finances and spark an exodus of talent, so board members may be feeling a little jittery right now, and it is easy to see why Moyes is well backed in this market.
Brendan Rodgers
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is also in trouble after an alarming slump in form for the Foxes, who are now 17th in the table.
A run of four defeats in five games has dragged them back into the Premier League relegation battle, leaving Leicester just one point above West Ham having played a game more.
As is also the case with the Hammers, Leicester look too good to go down – but that epithet has previously been applied to several teams that did indeed suffer relegation.
Rodgers’ men have scored more goals than any other team in the bottom half of the table, but a leaky defence has cost them dearly.
The situation looks bleak right now, so Rodgers is 10/1 to become the next Premier League manager to go.
Graham Potter
Potter was the favourite to become the next Premier League manager to be sacked before his team beat Leeds 1-0 at the start of March.
That earned him a measure of breathing room, and the Blues then secured an impressive victory over Borussia Dortmund.
A 2-2 draw with Everton last time out felt like a step back, but it was always going to take time for Potter to build an effective starting XI after Chelsea brought in a raft of new players in the last two transfer windows.
Owner Todd Boehly has always insisted that the manager’s job was safe, and the odds currently suggest that's true.
He's now a 14/1 outsider with BetVictor, although another slump in form could lead to fans calling for his head once more.
Gary O’Neil
The Bournemouth boss has drifted out to 20/1 in this market after his team pulled off an impressive 1-0 win against Liverpool recently.
They followed that up with a 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa, but bookies seem convinced the Cherries will stick with him until the end of the season at least.
However, Bournemouth are still in the relegation zone, so O’Neil – who replaced Parker near the beginning of the campaign – is not out of the woods just yet.
There remains a chance that they will replace him with a more experienced manager, so he is still a tempting option in this market at those odds.
The Rest
Long shots have paid off in this market throughout the season – Vieira, for example, was priced at 16/1 just 10 days before he was sacked.
You can currently find 16/1 on a number of betting apps on Steve Cooper of Nottingham Forest, while Wolves’ Julen Lopetegui is a 33/1 shout.
Unai Emery of Aston Villa, Marco Silva of Fulham and Everton’s Sean Dyche are all 40/1 outsiders.
Also in the 40/1 bracket is Jurgen Klopp, who is under a degree of pressure amid Liverpool's underwhelming campaign.
